The ABST (Alberta Basic Security Training) course is an online training course consisting of eight modules.
A minimum of 40 hours must be logged to complete the training course through our website.
There is a timer in the top right hand corner of the screen that logs the hours you're spending on the course.
The online course is self paced and can be started at any time.
The cost of the course is $99.00 + GST

Once you have logged 40 hours and have gone through all the modules and completed the quizzes you will be issued a Certificate of Completion.
You will also be given instructions to book an online exam.
The cost of the online exam is $60 and is paid when you register for your exam with eProctor.
You must score at least 80% to pass.
Once you pass the exam you will receive a Training Completion Certificate in the mail from Alberta Justice.
With this certificate and other documentation you can apply for your Alberta security guard licence.
